Same day edits – WOW your guest!

Brides to be:

If you are looking for the next big thing at your wedding offer a same day edit.  Same day edit also know as a SDE is a video production of your wedding.  I am sure you probably have seen peoples wedding videos after you went to there wedding, but that is usually months after the wedding.  With a SDE your guest will see your wedding just hours after your first kiss.  This might seem a bit new but it is catching on fast.  Check out the Big Box Pro Audio Video web site at https://bigboxpro.com/Wedding/wedding-video-corpus-christi.html/a>l for some samples of same day edits.  Keep in mind that these are the original videos that were shot, produced, edited and then displayed just hours after the ceremony is over.

If you have friends and family members that could not make it to the event we have the capabilities of loading your video onto our website and  sending a link for the world to see.  If you have any further questions please log on to www.BigBoxPro.com and send us an email.

Thanks and happy planning.

Wedding video in Corpus Christi with Big Box Pro

Well the new year is here and it is starting to be wedding season again.  Brides to be, this is your time to make sure you plan everything out and make things right.  This Sunday there will be a wedding fair held at the American Bank Center in downtown Corpus Christi, Texas.  If you want something positive to do, you should come out to the Spring Wedding Fair and see what the local vendors have available.

As always Big Box Pro will be out there showing the latest options for capturing your wedding properly.  When it is all over you should have more than a husband and a drained bank account.  You should have something special to save your wedding memories forever.  The best way you can do that is with a wedding day video.

For years people have hired photographers to capture there special events.  Now that professional video is available  many couples are turning their interest from photo to video.  Video has the capabilities to capture so much more.  Look at it this way, when you see someone crying in a picture can you tell what they are crying about?  The answer is usually no.  With video you would be able to hear the heartfelt toast that was just given and know that the tears where tears of joy.

So when you are thinking about a way to capture all the special moment of your day, think about hiring a professional videographer.   So if you are out at the American Bank Center on Sunday, come by and ask about our new services (Same day edits).

See you at the wedding show

Geocaching, (Geo-cash-ing) welcome to the global hobby.

Call it a game, a sport or just a past time, but the process that is geocaching can be a lot of fun.  Geocacing is a hobby of ours that we have enjoying for the last few years.  When we are not running Big Box Pro video productions, we are often out looking for more geocaches.  I will take a few minutes here to give you a basic rundown of what geocaching is and how you can start to participate.

History– So I have been told, back in 2000 someone in Oregon hid a box of toys out in the world.  Then he gave the coordinates on-line hopping someone would grab there handheld GPS and go looking for his cache.  It worked and the rest is now a world wide game known as geocaching.  There are hundreds of boxes, tubes, containers and locations near your home waiting to be found.

How to start– First of all you will need a GPS.  The acronym stands for Global Positioning System.  The techies call them GPSRs for receiver.  No matter what you call them you will need one.  There are several brands such as Garmin, Magellan, Tom Tom, and Lowrance that make good GPS units.  I prefer Garmin and so do a majority of geocachers out there.  Some of the new PDA cell phones are coming equipped with a GPS receiver and software that allows you to cache with your phone.

The next thing you will need to do it so set up a free account with www.geocaching.com they are the clearing house for all the geocahes.  Most GPS unit come with software that enable you to download from the geocaching website and upload the coordinates into your GPS.  If you have an old GPS unit you will have to key in each cache’s coordinates by hand.

There are several different geocaches that you can hunt for.  Take a look at http://www.geocaching.com/about/cache_types.aspx this is an outline of the basic styles of caches available to find.  Although with items like virtual caches the find is the location or the view and not a box of goods.  Some are multiple location caches that take you to multiple locations before you arrive at the main cache.

Whats next– Go caching!  Good luck going out and finding your first cache.  Be warned geocachers are clever and they always trying to find a new and better way to hide their cache.  As you find more and more caches you will get a sense of where they might be and where not to waste time looking.  All in all caches are good hearted and are a wonderful group of people.  Try to be cautious to your fellow caches and also to the environment while you are out there caching.

When you find a traditional cache it will have a log book, pen and some items for trade.  If you plan on taking an item make sure you leave an item.  To be on the safe side take your own pen.  If you want to be a good cacher practice the cache in trash out routine.  This helps keeping the places we love clean and nice for the next generation on cachers.

Help – If you do not find what you need on the www.geocaching.com website, or you are just in search of more information check out www.podcacher.com.  Sonny and Sandy do a great job every week with providing a wonderful podcast show.  They are funny, entertaining, informative and just a bit dorky like the rest of us geocachers, but they work hard to put on a great show and it shows.  We often download the podcacher show and burn it on to a cd to listen to while we are going out caching.  Once we are done with the disc we donate it to a cache so others might have the opportunity to learn more.

Well that is all the time I have today.  Good luck and keep you head up out there

Back to the doctor

Today we went to the doctor.. # 2 of many to come.  Kendra had the lovely opportunity to have another sonogram.  This time we were able to get a heart beat.  It was rattling off at about 144 beats per minute.  There was not much else to see at this point, but to see the heart beat was enough.  It is just amazing that at only 7 weeks 1 day there is the technology to see something that small.  But then again it is amazing at just this far in that something smaller than a jelly bean has its own organ.  So with a little help from the sonogram tech we were able to bring home our first picture to hang on the refridge.

I will have to say it looks more like me than it does Kendra but we have a long way to go.  We will put up a picture as soon as we get one scanned in.

Baby, What?

Well on our nine month anniversary Kendra and I found out that she is pregnant.  By Christmas day she will be six weeks along.  Along with our family we are really happy with the news.  Our next visit to the doctors office is on the 27th of December.  I guess as things progress we will keep you updated.

Keep us in your prayers

Merry Christmas with the family

Christmas time is here

This year we hosted the Perrin Family Christmas party at our home.  I don’t think I have ever cleaned so much in my entire life.  Three days straight we worked at getting the house presentable for our friends and family.  That night dinner was Casbeers enchiladas.  If you are unfamiliar, Casbeers is a hole in the wall folk music hideout in San Antonio, Texas.  After our traditional gift exchange we had a white elephant exchange.  Kendra was the proud winner of the Fish Alert.  For those unfamiliar, for the last six years this so called Fish Alert, fishing aid, has been a part of the family white elephant exchange.  This year just happen to be our turn.  After that night we went out to the lake house so we would be there and ready to open presents on Christmas morning.  I got a gun and a guitar for Christmas…  not to bad of a year.  On Christmas afternoon we packed up our three dogs and headed to San Angelo, Texas to visit with Kendra’s parents for a few days.  We will head back to Corpus for Kendra’s second doctors appointment on the 28th.  Wish us luck.

Merry Christmas

Rome Editing

It has been about three weeks since we got back from Rome, Italy.  The trip was a blast.

Now it is time to start editing video.  This year we shot 18 hours of video.  Not too bad considering we  shot 24 hours last year.  It was so nice this year to know what was important to tape and what was not so important to get on tape.  By the end of the trip Kendra was wanting to stay forever.  Unfortunately we had to come back home and start editing.  Well we will keep you updated as to when the project will be done.

Thanks

On the road again.

Well it seems like we were just getting use to sleeping in our own bed again… but then it is time to leave again.  We just received news that Kendra’s grandmother has passed away.  The next few days will take us to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

So if you could keep us in your prayers as we travel to New Mexico for the funeral.
