If you are planning to head out to the wedding expos and wedding fairs this is a good read. When we first started Big Box Pro Wedding Video we found a lot of potential clients at wedding shows. Please keep in mind it is a show, and the vendors are there to SELL themselves to you.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Planning a wedding involves orchestrating a symphony of vendors, and bridal expos can be a great one-stop shop to find…
Also please be advised that a lot of the high end wedding vendors do not have booths at these shows. If you are having a high end event you might need to get referrals or do searches online. I would ask your vendors for referrals and recommendations before booking. Ask questions and ask to meet with your vendor at their place of business so you can book without all the hype of the wedding show.
Platinum Photographer of the Year Award goes to Raymond E. Gray, Corpus Christi, TX.
You can view the awards listing on the PPA site here. http://www.ppa.com/files/pdfs/southwest_results2011.pdf Raymond was one of 25 photographers to receive the Platinum Award. One must merit on all four of their national entries to be eligible for this award.
Corpus Christi portrait photographer Raymond Gray of Gray Photography has earned a Platinum Level “Photographer of the Year” Award from the Professional Photographers of America. Gray will be honored at PPA’s annual convention, Imaging USA, in Nashville, Tenn., in January. Gray received this honor by winning a national merit award for all four of his entries.
Gray’s award-winning photographs came from a variety of assignments this past year: “A Slower Pace” was taken in Venus Italy; “My Lucerne, My Town” was captured while documenting the heart of Europe; “Mi Lugar” and “Faith and Perseverance” were recorded while in San Miguel, Mexico.
His studio does amazing work, and we love to work events with them.
While shooting wedding video, we get the opportunity to work with a lot of photographers in the Corpus Christi area. Unfortunately, these photographers try to knock the work of Gray Photography. Well to all the naysayers out there here is a question for you; “Did you get a national award for meriting on four prints at nationals this year?” I didn’t think so. We would like to congratulate Raymond Gray for his award this year. Keep up the good work in 2010.
