Good Scotch was a short film originally produced for the Corpus Christi
Seven Day Film Project 2009. The CC7D competition allows
competitors seven days to complete a short film involving three
essential elements. The elements are the same for all the film
makers. This year the elements were; The dialog "8:15", a
character Samantha who is lost & a prop in the form of a light bulb.
In Competition for this year's
CC7D, Good Scotch received two awards: Filmmaker's
Award (tie) and the Jury Runner Up Award for 2009.
Written by Jeff Durrwachter, Good Scotch was shot in the classic
film noir style. Jeff plays a lowlife detective who gets an
unanticipated visit from the devil himself. The devil brings
the good stuff and a discussion unfolds. Andrea Sarate plays the
sexy client who is on a quest to find her sister, Samantha.
Crime, drama and mystery bring this six minute short to its climax.
